This is my mood board. It shows images I will use and the colour scheme I have chosen. I Chose this colour scheme as it matches the Logo of the culture campaign.

Optimising Photos

  I optimised my images to make the file size smaller in order to make my website run faster and smoother. This helps the users since they won't have to wait too long for the website to load and can therefore access it quickly. Originally the file size was too large at 1.4 MB so I changed it from a PNG to a JPG. After I changed it to a JPG, it was still a bit to big at 483.9 KB so I decreased the quality to 75% while still ensuring that the quality was good enough for my website. I managed to finally get it down to 289.7 KB which was small enough to then put on my website. The original size of this image was 356.1 KB as it was originally a JPG which is pretty small but still a little too big to put on my website. I ended up decreasing the quality to 90%. I decreased the quality to 90% which allowed me to get the file size down to 275.6 KB which made it small enough without compromising the quality drastically. Compare and contrast the use of different platforms and formats for delivering interactive media products.  Media platforms are the different ways users access media. The media platforms I will be talking about are Websites which mainly contains print related products, Kiosks which mainly contain maps and adverts, Apps which can be games and social media and mobile devices. All media platforms have advantages and disadvantages which I will be discussing. Firstly, websites are mainly used to source information. The advantages are that they allow 24/7 access, it is easily accessible to a large number of people and the only things needed to access them are Wi-Fi and a device.
